You Zheng

Department of Precision Instrument, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China

Prof. Dr. You is currently a dual-appointed professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Precision Instruments at Tsinghua University, as well as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Prof. Dr. You Zheng's main academic focus is intelligent microsystems and their applications in space. He has been a pioneer in China in the technological innovation and engineering practice of micro/nanosatellites. As the principal investigator, he led the design, construction, launch, and in-orbit operation of several micro/nanosatellites, including "TH-1," "NS-1," and "NS-2." Among them, the NS-1 satellite was the world's smallest "three-axis stabilized satellite with attitude control," making significant contributions to the technological advancement of space microsystems and microsatellites in China.

He has made breakthroughs in several core technologies, including the development of miniature MEMS energy storage devices and energy microsystems, MEMS solar sensors, micro/nanoscale star trackers, MEMS switches/relays, MEMS scanning mirrors, and detection microsystems. These devices and microsystems have reached international advanced levels, and many of them have been successfully applied in the fields of aviation and aerospace.
